Any Registered Nurse licensed to practice in North America (United States, Mexico, Canada) shall be eligible for active membership, and may vote, hold office, and serve on committees.
INTERNATIONAL

Any registered nurse licensed to practice outside North America, shall be eligible for international membership. International members shall have the right to serve and vote on committees or other workgroups. International members shall be excluded from holding office or voting in society elections.
STUDENT

$60.00*

 
Any individual enrolled in a health profession education program is eligible for student membership. Student members who are not yet licensed registered nurses shall be excluded from voting or holding office but may be a non-voting member of a committee. Registered Nurses who are returning to school for an advanced health profession degree shall have all the privileges of an Active Member.
ASSOCIATE

Includes LPN/LVNs, and other health care professionals who are interested in ASPMN®’s goals (e.g., pharmacists, social workers). Associate members shall be excluded from holding office and voting. An Associate Member can be a member of a committee. Dues are $100.00 annually.
CORPORATE

Retired

$75.00

Retired RN membership shall be retired nurses over 62 years of age who are not currently employed in nursing, and have been an ASPMN® member for three continuous years prior to the status change from full membership to retired membership. Dues are one-half of the active membership annually. Email the ASPMN® Executive to see if you qualify.
 

Honorary

Exempt

Any individual who has made distinguished contributions to pain management nursing or has furthered the objectives of the Society shall be eligible for honorary membership. Individuals shall be elected to honorary membership by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors. Honorary members do not pay dues. Honorary members who were eligible voting members upon election to honorary membership status shall retain their rights and privileges in the Society. All other Honorary members shall be excluded from holding office, voting, participating on a committee or task force.
 

Lifetime

Exempt

At the discretion of the Board of Directors and upon recommendation of the Membership Committee, lifetime membership may be conferred in special circumstances. All Past Presidents of ASPMN shall be lifetime members. A lifetime member shall have all rights and privileges of an active member, including one vote, but shall be exempted from paying dues.

ASPMN®‘s dues cycle runs from January to December. Dues are billed each fall with a December 31 expiration date.
